Expansion and Growth
We can rework zoning laws to encourage the development of unique and affordable housing. Preventing private developers from purchasing excessive amounts of land and building cheap, uniform apartments, only for them to sell it back to us at exorbitant prices is a must. Our residents and citizens should take priority so that we can build our communities, have autonomy over what is constructed, and make our city people friendly.
Our homes should have access to local markets built by local residents that are only moments away. The term often used is a “walkable” city, and ours should be nothing less. As mayor, I will foster this kind of community-centric urban planning, giving back to you your choice of homes, neighborhoods, and lifestyles.
